Holy Bible — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Holy Bible (application id in.lilax.holybible) is an offline Bible reading app for Android, published by Lilax. This policy describes what data the app handles. The short version: the app collects no data at all.

Data collection

The app does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information or usage data. It requests no Android permissions and does not access the internet. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party services of any kind.

Data stored on your device

Everything you create in the app — bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading position, reading-time statistics and settings — is stored only in the app's private storage on your own device. It is never sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.

Android backup

If you have enabled Android's device backup, the operating system may include the app's user data (your bookmarks, highlights and notes) in your device backup to your own Google account, so it can be restored when you move to a new phone. This is handled entirely by Android under your device's backup settings; Lilax has no access to it.

Children

The app contains only scripture text and is suitable for all ages. Since no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children.

Scripture texts

The app bundles the Majority Standard Bible (public domain) and the Indian Revised Version, Tamil (CC BY-SA 4.0, © Bridge Connectivity Solutions). Attribution is shown inside the app under Settings → Text credits.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled (for example, adding optional translation downloads, which would require internet access), this policy will be updated before that version is released.
